Artificial Heart

For the end stage heart disease patients who die waiting for transplantation, success in development of artificial heart is the only hope that so far is not fulfilled in spite of the 5 decades and billions of dollars spent.

Heart Failure

Inability of the heart to supply adequate blood to the body is heart failure. There are many causes of heart failure.

The treatment consists of medication to support the heart and correction of the primary condition that causes heart failure if it can be done. But this is palliative. The transplant is the gold standard. But there are a lot of problems associated with it. Mechanical cardiac support is being under evaluation. We also are working on development of Artificial Heart.
