Coronary Heart
Disease- If Heart is Not Good
If the pumping of the heart is not good you have two options the first
one is to accept the inevitable and do nothing. The other option is
to go ahead with bypass surgery with the associated high risk if necessary
having a temporary partial artificial heart in the hope that the heart
will recover at some time in the next six weeks. This is called bridge
to recovery. If the patient does not recover in six
weeks and donor heart is available, go for transplantation. Whenever
my group completes our work on Total Artificial Heart, The patients
will have this option available. Our Total
Artificial Heart is
the best in the world as it is small enough to be inside the human
body. At the same time it works like the natural heart. [Our Artificial
Heart is not damaged with smoking, cholesterol, stress or genes!]
