The technique of Supra P.E.E.P. is an easy, freely
available,
safe and economic technique neglected even in the care
of
the adults. During my tenure at this institute I developed
this technique for neonates to make it safe so that it
could be used instead of E.C.M.O. This is very important in
a developing country like India where
people do not afford
the cost of E.C.M.O. and prefer to let child die. Also
the
expertise and infrastructure needed for E.C.M.O, is not
available at most of the places.
